November 2011 -- Fabric Art Show at the Satin Moon
The local quilt store is featuring recent fabric art creations made by members of my Fabric Art Design group. The name of the show is Tangled Threads and the irises in the photo are part of my contribution to the show.

Making a fabric bookmark as a keepsake and a reminder of a wonderful cruise to Alaska. This involved all the basics of fabric art: sewing, painting and ironing.

May - June 2011
I was part of a larger group of artists who had a wonderful art show and sale at the Empress Hotel in late May. Below left is a photo of my booth in the planning stage. Unfortunately I donít have a photo of it in action in the Crystal Ballroom - but lots of people loved it! Then, in early June I taught a class called ‘Fun with Lutradur’ at Pearson College. As you can see in the photo below, we were having fun! Look at all of the stuff we played with. And finally, practicing what I teach -- I used Lutradur to make a very elegant dragonfly brooch.

March 2011 -- Artist Open House
It was fun to share what I have been doing with so many people at my second annual Artist Open House. What a bright and colourful show! For me it was quite an eye-opener to see a year's worth of my art hanging all together. The positive comments and new ideas from the guests were thrilling and encouraging. Back to the paint table and sewing room.

January 2011
