Silk paper feels really soft – more like fabric than paper. It is made with silk fibres, or roving, that are bound together to make a lustrous paper. It can be filmy and gossamer or thick and opaque, like leather. It is perfect for printing, stamping, sewing, quilting, jewellery, wearable art, hand bags, journal covers – and anything else you can think of! We will learn how to make silk paper so by the end of the day you will have a sheet for a future project as well as several charming scrunchies and beads.
This is a one day workshop. There is a kit fee.
